Your Role

In the role of Lead Consultant / Principal Consultant – Advanced Transportation Management, you will anchor SAP S/4HANA Advanced Transportation Management (ATM) implementation engagements from business process consulting and requirement discovery to solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and hypercare. You will lead Advanced Transportation Management solution design including optimizer-driven planning, package building, load planning, and freight settlement, guide teams on project deliverables, work closely with business and cross-functional stakeholders, and act as a key advisor for architecture and design reviews across shipper and Logistics Service Provider (LSP) scenarios.

Required
  • SAP Supply Chain experience with focus on SAP Advanced Transportation Management (ATM) implementations, including at least 2–3 full-cycle SAP S/4HANA ATM implementation or rollout projects.
  • Ability to clearly differentiate between Basic Shipping (LE-TRA / Transportation Management) and Advanced Transportation Management (ATM), including additional licensing requirements, and advise clients accordingly.
  • Strong hands-on experience in core ATM capabilities: VSR Optimizer-driven planning, Package Building (3D load planning), Load Planning, and Early Planning via the Transportation Cockpit. 
  • Transportation Cockpit expertise covering map-based planning, Gantt chart, drag-and-drop, and manual/automatic planning modes; configuration of freight agreements, rate tables, charge calculation sheets, and freight settlement documents.
  • Hands-on experience in EWM–TM integration (RFC, logical systems, communication profiles, queue setup) and ERP logistics integration — Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, STOs, scheduling agreements, and deliveries into SAP Advanced TM.
  • Master data governance across locations, business partners, commodity codes, service products, and charge types; SAP Event Management integration for track-and-trace and real-time shipment visibility.
  • Strong client-facing, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills; experience in RICEFW estimation, functional specification preparation, SAP Activate methodology, Fit-to-Standard workshops, SIT, UAT, cutover, go-live, and hypercare.

Preferred
  • SAP TM / SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain certification is an added advantage.
  • Experience in SAP Activate methodology and Fit-to-Standard workshops.
  • Multimodal transportation planning experience: road, rail, air, ocean.
  • Industry exposure: Lifesciences
  • Experience leading onsite-offshore delivery teams and client-facing engagements.
