Job Summary 

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivatedLead Node.js Backend Developer with 5-8 years of experience in designing, developing, and delivering enterprise-scale backend solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving technical design, solution architecture, and implementation of scalable and high-performance applications using Node.js and TypeScript. 

The role requires strong expertise in backend development, API design, cloud-native architectures, system integrations, and modern engineering practices. As a Level 9 professional, the candidate is expected to provide technical leadership, mentor development teams, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and ensure delivery of high-quality solutions aligned with business objectives. 

Roles and Responsibilities 

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable backend services and enterprise applications using Node.js and TypeScript. 
• Translate business and functional requirements into technical solutions and architectural designs. 
• Drive technical discussions and provide technology recommendations aligned with project and organizational objectives. 
• Own end-to-end delivery of backend components, ensuring adherence to quality, performance, and security standards. 
• Define and enforce development standards, coding guidelines, and best practices across the team. 
• Review code, perform technical audits, and ensure compliance with architectural standards and engineering excellence practices. 
• Collaborate with Solution Architects, Product Owners, DevOps teams, and external stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions. 
• Lead troubleshooting and resolution of critical production issues and escalations. 
• Design and implement reusable frameworks, components, and services to improve development efficiency. 
• Mentor junior developers and senior analysts, providing technical guidance and fostering team capability growth. 
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to application performance, security, scalability, and maintainability. 
• Contribute to estimation, sprint planning, risk identification, and release management activities. 
• Ensure implementation of DevOps, CI/CD, monitoring, logging, and observability best practices. 
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve business outcomes. 
• Support presales activities, solution discussions, technical workshops, and proof-of-concept implementations where required. 

Professional and Technical Skills 

• Strong hands-on experience in Node.js and TypeScript development. 
• Extensive knowledge of JavaScript ecosystems, backend frameworks, and enterprise application development. 
• Expertise in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures. 
• Strong experience with frameworks such as Express.js, NestJS, Fastify, or equivalent. 
• Deep understanding of asynchronous programming, concurrency handling, and event-driven architecture. 
• Strong knowledge of software design principles, SOLID principles, design patterns, and domain-driven design concepts. 
• Hands-on experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases, including performance tuning and optimization. 
• Experience with API security standards including OAuth, JWT, authentication, and authorization mechanisms. 
• Good understanding and practical experience with GraphQL implementations. 
• Experience working with caching technologies such as Redis and distributed caching solutions. 
• Experience with message queues and event streaming technologies such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar platforms. 
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation. 
• Experience with source code management platforms such as GitHub, GitLab, or Azure DevOps. 
• Hands-on experience with code quality, security scanning, and governance tools including SonarQube. 
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS. 
• Experience in containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes. 
• Strong debugging, performance optimization, and production support skills. 
• Experience in implementing automated testing frameworks including Jest and integration testing approaches. 
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills. 
• Proven ability to lead technical teams, mentor engineers, and drive engineering best practices.
