Job Responsibilities:

List of general activities, duties and/or tasks typically performed within the job.

  • Partner with business leaders, internal consulting, and innovation teams to identify and prioritize high-value AI and automation opportunities across underwriting, claims, fraud, customer service, and operations.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical architectures and delivery roadmaps spanning AI, RPA, BPM, and PaaS solutions integrated with core policy, billing, and claims platforms.
  • Design, build, and deploy production-grade ML and GenAI solutions that address complex business problems and operate reliably at enterprise scale.
  • Architect and implement end-to-end AI pipelines encompassing data ingestion, feature engineering, model training and validation, MLOps, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to embed AI models into automated workflows and decisioning processes with appropriate reliability, auditability, and control.
  • Provide technical leadership in defining AI product vision, MVPs, backlogs, and scaling plans in partnership with product management and engineering teams.
  • Guide the adoption of cloud and PaaS platforms to deliver AI and data solutions while ensuring alignment with security, compliance, performance, and cost expectations.
  • Implement responsible AI practices including explainability, bias and fairness testing, documentation, and ongoing model monitoring aligned with regulatory standards.

Job Requirements:

List of general education, background and experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities typically required to effectively perform the responsibilities of the job. Also include any required licenses and/or designations.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, engineering, statistics, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or related professional work experience; advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience across data science, software engineering, and/or solutions architecture, with at least 3 years focused on AI/ML delivery.
  • Proven ability to lead proofs of concept and pilots, validate feasibility and value, and transition successful solutions into production.
  • Product-oriented mindset with experience working in agile delivery models to define, prioritize, and deliver AI capabilities.
  • Strong hands-on experience building AI and ML solutions using Python and modern ML frameworks, with the ability to deploy models into production environments.
  • Demonstrated experience operationalizing AI solutions as scalable services integrated with enterprise systems and workflows.
  • Experience designing and implementing GenAI and LLM-based solutions, including retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, and evaluation and guardrail techniques.
  • Solid foundation in data engineering and analytics, including SQL, data modeling, and working with modern data platforms.
  • Working knowledge of modern software engineering practices, including version control, CI/CD, testing, observability, and secure SDLC.
  • Experience designing and delivering solutions on major cloud platforms using managed AI/ML and PaaS services.
  • Knowledge of API-based and event-driven architectures, containerization, and orchestration for scalable AI services.
  • Experience working in regulated industries, with an understanding of enterprise data domains and governance considerations.
  • Preferred:
    • Prior experience in insurance, InsurTech, or other highly-regulated financial services.

Compensation may vary based on the job level, your geographic work location, position incentive plan and exemption status.

 

Base Salary Range:

$135,500.00 - $203,300.00
