The Role
TheInfrastructure Project Managerwillmanage the infrastructure design and delivery of construction projects for national law and justice agencies.

Therolewillalso support andcoordinate theimplementationoftheInfrastructureandEquipment Fund (IEF).The scale andtype ofinfrastructureand equipment within the criteria of theAPLJ IEF ranges from:

a)    NewInfrastructure:uptoK7million.

b)    NewInfrastructure:SpecialProjects(toamaximumof2complementaryprojects)uptoK10million.

c)    NewEquipmentsupply:uptoK900,000.

d)    Refurbishmentofexistingfacilities-K1million.

e)    SmallScaleITequipmenttofacilitateimprovedreportingandaccountability

About You

Qualifications

·   A relevant tertiary qualification, preferably Bachelor of Civil/Structural Engineering, Bachelor of Architecture, Bachelor of Construction Management /Technology or any construction related discipline is required.

·      Certification in program/project management (including but not limited to PMP, PMI-CP, or other similar certifications) is required.

·      Certified engineers are welcome to apply, but it is not a minimum requirement for the role.

Essential Experience and Knowledge

·      Aminimum of10years demonstrated experience inconstruction and/or project management

·  Recent experience inprogramandproject management, designmanagement,construction supervision,documentation,andcontract administration,Experience working with the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) or other development assistance program, preferredasahigh-levelunderstandingandapplicationofarchitecturalandengineeringdesign processes andassociated documentation anddeliverable requirements.

·      AdequateunderstandingofconstructioncontractlegislationtermsforPapuaNewGuinea.

·      Experience deliveringdonor-funded developmentprograms, preferably inPNGorsimilar contexts.

Preferred Experience and Knowledge

·      Abilitytoworkeffectivelywithgovernmentcounterparts,technicaladvisers,and stakeholders in challenging environments.

·      Excellentleadership,communication,andreportingskills.

·      Strongorganizationalskills andabilitytomanagemultipledeadlines.

·      SomeknowledgeandIorunderstandingofapplyingGEDSIandsafeguardsprinciples.
