We are seeking an experiencedData Modeler with strong expertise inTeradata andErwin Data Modeler tools. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise data models that support analytical, operational, and reporting needs. This role requires close collaboration with business analysts, data architects, ETL developers, and database administrators to ensure data integrity, scalability, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintainlogical and physical data models for Teradata-based data warehouses and data marts.
- UseErwin Data Modeler to create, update, and maintain data models, metadata, and data dictionaries.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective database designs.
- Define and implementdata modeling standards, best practices, and naming conventions.
- Collaborate with data architects and ETL teams to ensure consistency between data models and ETL processes.
- Performdata profiling, data analysis, and impact analysis on data model changes.
- Optimize data structures forperformance, scalability, and maintainability in the Teradata environment.
- Supportdata governance andmetadata management initiatives.
- Participate incode reviews,design sessions, anddata quality assessments.
- Provide documentation and support for production and development teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree inComputer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience indata modeling for large-scale data warehouse environments.
- Strong experience withTeradata databases and architecture.
- Expertise inErwin Model Mart.
- Strong understanding ofnormalized and dimensional modeling techniques.
- Experience withETL design concepts,data governance, andmetadata management.
- Solid understanding ofSQL and database performance tuning.
- Excellentanalytical, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience incloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and integration with Teradata.
- Familiarity withBI/reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI, SAP Business Objects, etc.).
- Exposure toAgile / DevOps methodologies.
