Job Summary
Langan is seeking anĀ Environmental ProjectĀ ManagerĀ to join its collaborative team inĀ Parsippany, NJ. This individual will serve a key function in managing environmental/engineering projects and proposals, conducting engineering research and analysis, and supervising field investigations and laboratory analysis. In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage diverse projects, solve problems and overcome challenges in restoring the environment and returning blighted properties to productive re-use while protecting and enhancing the environment.
Job Responsibilities

- PerformĀ complex analyses for specific portions of broader engineering and environmental projects;
- SuperviseĀ field activities and ensureĀ correct interpretations of findings. EnsureĀ that data collection and laboratory analyses are completed correctly, within budget, and on time;
- ManageĀ and deliverĀ on multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines. PrepareĀ progress reports and draft change orders.Ā PrepareĀ draft invoices, project billings, and assistĀ in payment collections;
- Effectively organize, write, and editĀ reports, draft proposals, and other documents;
- ParticipateĀ in the identification and pursuit of new clients, learnĀ to develop additional work within an existing project and attend business development meetings with new and existing clients;
- ProvideĀ direct oversight and management of junior staff for specific project assignments. Coach, train, and motivateĀ staff assigned to Environmental projects. ParticipateĀ in interviewing and hiring staff;
- CoordinateĀ other work groups within the same or different office locations and/or within the same or different disciplines on an as-needed basis;
- InterfaceĀ effectivelyĀ and professionally with clients, contractors, subcontractors, staff, project personnel, supervisors, and others. Actively participate in internal and external technical presentations and produceĀ written articles for internal and external publications; and
- PerformĀ other duties as requested.

Qualifications
Ā
- Bachelorās degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology or Science; Masterās degree with Environmental emphasis preferred;
- LSRP, PE or PG Certification;
- 8+ years of work related experience;
- Strong people, project, and client management skills;
- Comprehensive understanding of NJDEP and NYSDEC regulatory requirements;
- Strong technical writing skills;
- Excellent public speaking, written, and verbal communication skills;
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities;
- Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment; and
- Possess reliable transportation for client meetings and job site visits and a valid driverās license in good standing.

Certain US jurisdictions require Langan to include an estimate of salary or hourly ranges. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, location, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills. Certain roles may be eligible for overtime and participation in the firm's annual bonus and performance review program. Bonuses are discretionary and based on individual job performance and the profitability of the firm. Employees are also eligible to receive up to 20 days of paid vacation time, 10 days of paid sick time and 10 paid holidays throughout the year. Eligibility and actual paid time off may vary based on local law and factors such as hours worked, related work experience and level.
