Therole of Biopharma Scientist istoperform a varietyofcomplex samplepreparation andanalysisprocedurestoquantitatively measure smalland largebiomolecules using awide rangeofanalyticalinstrumentation.Working mainlyindependently, Scientistswill interpretanalyticaldatain regardto acceptability andconsistency and setupand maintainanalyticalinstrumentation.

Adayinthe Life

•  Perform a variety of complex samplepreparations

•   Analysis proceduresto quantitatively measurepharmaceutical compounds in a varietyofformationsfor stabilitytesting andother studiesfor analyticaltesting support

•  Reviewandcompilation ofresults

•  Performingwork assignments accurately, timely andin a safe manner

•   Trainingon routine operation, maintenance and theoryofanalytical instrumentation, SOPs,andregulatoryprocedures and guidelines.

Educationand Experience

•   Educatedto abachelor'sdegree levelin a relevant area, ie chemistry,biochemistry

In some cases an equivalency, consistingof a combinationof appropriateeducation,trainingand/ordirectly related experience,willbeconsidered sufficientfor an individualtomeettherequirements ofthe role.

Knowledge,Skills,Abilities

•  3+ years’work experience within a GMP laboratory

•   3+ yearsindustry experience with Labtechniques relevanttoBiopharma:ELISA, SDS-Page, Western Blot,HPLC. Capillary electrophoresiswouldbeanadvantage.

•  Detailedknowledge ofmethod validation; methoddevelopmentwouldbe an advantage.

•   Theabilitytoplan, scheduleand carry outworkfor successfulprojectcompletion

•  A positiveattitudeandabilitytoworkwellwithothers

•  Theabilitytowriteprotocols and reportswith minimum supervision

•  Excellent attentiontodetail

•  Be ableto communicate effectively andfollowdetailedwritten and verbal instruction
