This position islocated at Tate & Lyles flagship facility,located in Lafayette, Indiana. West Lafayette-West Lafayette, Indiana is home to Purdue University. Work Schedule: 
This position requires working 12-hour shifts on arotating 3 days on / 3 days off schedule. Candidates must be able towork days,nights, weekends, and holidays as part of the rotation. Overtime may berequired based on business needs, including during peak production periods or to cover absences. 

About the role and theimpact, you will offer: 

• Process Operators focus on setting up,operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing production (i.e., machining, processing, assembly, or packaging) equipment including:  

• Operating machine tool, chemical processing, assembly, or packaging equipment to manufacture products according to production specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards  

• Moving, packing, and sorting raw materials or finished goods  

• Monitoring the quality of output toidentify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products  

• Maintainingaccurate daily production records as input to manufacturing performance analysis. 

Main accountabilities:

• Package final product for distribution. (Process Support: Warehouse & Packaging) 

• Obtain in process samples and run required test specifications. 

• Diagnose,operate, correct, and manage the outcomes of complex processing systems (mechanical and chemical)utilizing areal time ERP system (OS PI). 

• Deliver effective turnover to the oncoming team through verbal and written communication (logbook). 

• Safely perform all required duties. Includes but not limitedto, writing permits, performing safety audits, monthly training topics, and daily safety messages. 

• Produce quality products, record all information in process quality assurance tests, and takeappropriate actions to correct deviations. 

• Perform environmental checks per our permits to ensure compliance. 

• Maintain a clean workenvironment perestablished Good Manufacturing Practices. 

• Required to learn all aspects of Process Operation via a progressive training program anddemonstrateproficiency. 

• Train other operators. 

• Perform basic maintenance duties andassist maintenance team when directed. 

• Operate forklift. 

• Considerable carerequired in monitoring controlcenters, reviewing information, making independent and informed decisions, and operating equipment safely and efficiently to ensure continuity of operations. 

• Isolate and secure energysources-perform LOTO and LTT. 

This position requires:  

• Ability to wear personnel protective equipment (PPE), safety shoes, hearing protection, safety googles, andhard hats.  

• Climb flights of stairs/ladders, bending, lifting, pushing,pulling and standing for 12-hour shift duration on a rotating 3 on 3 off schedule.

When determining final compensation, we take into consideration: skillset, job scope, knowledge, prior experience, cost of living, market data, budget availability, and other factors as permitted by law. 

Starting pay for this position is $32.43/hour.
