Environmental Oversight Lead

Title:

KBR is seeking an Environmental Oversight Lead to provide technical oversight of environmental compliance requirements and sustainability considerations associated with project development and operation. This role works closely with permitting teams and engineering disciplines to ensure environmental obligations are incorporated into design and execution planning.  

Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to: 

• Coordinate with permitting teams and engineering disciplines.

• Review project activities for compliance with environmental obligations.

• Support environmental risk mitigation and sustainable project execution.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 10 years of experience in environmental compliance or environmental engineering.

• Knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting requirements for air, water, waste, and environmental programs.

• Experience integrating environmental requirements into project execution for capital projects in excess of $500M TIC.

• Strong collaboration and stakeholder coordination skills.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills: 

• Experience supporting pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated manufacturing facilities.

• Prior experience as PMC or Owner’s Representative for capital projects in excess of $1B TIC.

• Experience with sustainability initiatives and environmental performance programs.

• Familiarity with startup and operational readiness compliance activities.

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or environmental certification.
