Please note: We are hiring for this position on projects for the Central Kootenays in Castlegar, Nelson, and Trail.

Primary Responsibilities 

• Assist tradespeople on-site with various tasks including material handling, site preparation, and cleanup.Assist tradespeople on-site with various tasks including material handling, site preparation, and cleanup.  

• Load and unload construction materials and move them todesignated work areas. 

• Perform basic construction tasks such as demolition, drilling, and surface preparation.  

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment by sweeping, removing debris, and managing waste disposal. 

• Follow site-specific safety protocols and always wearappropriate PPE.  

• Perform heavy lifting and repetitive physical tasks in a fast-paced environment. 

• Communicate effectively with team members, leadhand andforeman to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently.  

• Champion General Contractor and RWC Safety guidelines and regulations.  

Skills and qualifications 

• 1-2 years of experience in a construction orlabour-intensive roleispreferred. 

• Capable of lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods. 

• Strong workethic and ability to follow instructions accurately.
