Labor and Employment Associate

Position Overview

Theideal candidate will havesignificant experience inemployment litigation, including bothsingle-plaintiff andclass action matters, with aparticular emphasis onwage and hour class actions. The position also involves providingemployment law counseling and compliance advice toclients across a variety of industries.Traditional labor law experience is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects ofemployment litigation, including discovery, motion practice, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation.

• Managewage and hour class actions andrepresent clients in individual employment disputes.

• Advise employers on a wide range ofemployment law issues, including wage and hour compliance, employee discipline and termination, workplace policies, and discrimination claims.

• Provide proactiveclient counseling to minimize risk and ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws.

• Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys in developing case strategies and providing high-quality client service.

• (Preferred) Assist intraditional labor law matters, such as union negotiations, grievances, and NLRB proceedings.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

• Admission to the State Bar of California (required).

• 4+ years of experience in employment litigation, with a focus onwage and hour class actions.

• Experience inemployment counseling and advisory work.

• Traditional labor law experience a plus.

• Excellent academic credentials and strongwritten, analytical, and communication skills.
