Lab Support Engineer (A3 job band)

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot hardware, software, firmware, and infrastructure issues in validation labs.
• Diagnose system failures usinglogs, firmware data, BMC/iLO, monitoring dashboards, and engineering procedures.
• Configure and maintainservers, workstations, storage, network devices, and virtualization environments.
• Perform machine recovery, firmware updates, hardware upgrades, diagnostics, and system qualification.
• Support hardware installations, replacements, and lab infrastructure expansion.
• Maintain accurate hardware inventory and asset records.
• Develop and maintain troubleshooting procedures and technical documentation.
• Coordinate lab activities and escalate complex issues when required.
• Support continuous improvement of lab processes and operational efficiency.
• Ensure lab activities meet definedSLAs and KPIs.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Experience inlab support, hardware validation, infrastructure support, or technical operations.
• Good troubleshooting skills acrosshardware, operating systems, firmware, networking, and infrastructure.
• Experience supportingservers, workstations, storage, and network equipment.
• Knowledge ofLinux, BMC/iLO, system logs, and hardware diagnostics.
• Understanding of virtualization environments.
• Experience with system recovery, firmware updates, hardware upgrades, and platform qualification.
• Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience insemiconductor, validation, test, or engineering lab environments.
• Knowledge ofBIOS/UEFI, firmware, server hardware, storage, and networking.
• Experience with inventory and asset management.
• Basic knowledge ofPython, Bash, or PowerShell.
