Pay Range:$38/hr - $41/hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and updated equipment inventory, ensuring all fixed lab equipment functions properly.
  • Manage vendor service contracts and coordinate preventative maintenance visits.
  • Oversee timelines for certifications and calibrations on critical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repair visits with service providers.
  • Review cold storage monitoring software to mitigate freezer failure risks.
  • Participate in laboratory emergency planning and management.
  • Collaborate with technicians, users, IT, and leadership to meet operational needs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety systems and manage Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) availability.
  • Support procurement of laboratory consumables and perform general maintenance tasks.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience: 

  • A.S. or B.S. inLife Sciences orFacilities Management with a management/technical emphasis.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience inpharmaceutical, life sciences, orbiotech in an academic or industry setting.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience implementing maintenance and repair programs in aResearch & Development (R&D) facility.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail, clarity, accuracy, and conciseness.
  • Experience with project management activities and vendor management.
  • Familiarity with establishing best practices in laboratory operations within an R&D team.
  • Experience training new employees on relevant technical and conceptual skills.
  • Knowledge of lab supplies procurement.
