Responsibilities:
- Sorting, organizing, inventorying, and managing lab equipment.
- Entering lab equipment data into an inventory management system.
- Learning, using, and training on an inventory management system.
- Looking up and documenting equipment specifications.
- Organizing and managing lab space in a MSE department.
- Inspecting and documenting lab spaces for safety and generic issues.
- Working with the department to keep the lab spaces clean.
- Researching, ordering, and setting up laboratory equipment.
- Developing new methods involving AI to find equipment that enables building and prototyping cutting edge equipment.
Requirements:
- Organization and documentation.
- Prior experience in a laboratory setting
- Online research of lab parts and equipment.
- Able to process and implement safe lab protocols and equipment.
- The ability to learn client systems and use them appropriately.
- Strong communication and presentation skills (MS Office programs)
- Desired Experience/Skills:
- Layout or CAD skills (AutoCAD, Solidworks, Visio)
- Soft Skills:
- Interpersonal skills - able to interact effectively with customers & coworkers
- Effective communication
- Able to work independently
- Results oriented
- Quick learner
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to work with others for whom English is not their primary language
