Position Summary:Performs a variety of routine and specialized MRI procedures for department patients of all ages. Maintains the standards of ARRT. 

• Demonstrates courteous behavior through polite and respectful communication to all customers and adheres to the 7 customer service behaviors. 

• Adheres to MRI safety standards. 

• Verifies physician orders for instructions from requesting physician and consults with theradiologists as necessary.Preps patient for exam. Explains procedure andprovides education and instruction to patient asappropriate. 

• Performs all magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) studies and administration of contrast mediautilizing age related technical and positioning protocols and safety procedures according to department policy and procedure.Assists radiologist with MR procedures asrequested. 

• Evaluates MRI images for technical quality. 

• Operates andmaintains MRI and associated equipment and supplies. Performs equipment warm up, calibration and safety check. Operates hospital computer system. Reports to supervisor any equipment malfunctions. Operates equipmentin accordance with manufacturer guidelines forappropriate quality control. 

• Completes documentation according to guidelines. 

• Adheres to hospital policies and professional standards 

Education and Training: 

• Current ARRT/ ARMRIT certification.  

• Minimum 2 years clinical MRI scanning experience preferred. 

• Excellent customer service skills.
