The Houlihan Lokey Corporate Finance business has extensive expertise in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, activist shareholder and takeover defense, and other related advisory services for a broad range of clients. In addition, we have the proven ability to engineer and execute financing solutions that are essential for growth and success and offer access to financing in the public and alternative capital markets through the issuance of debt, equity, or hybrid securities.

As trusted advisors, our industry-specific groups provide us with a deep understanding of our client’s business and positioning before we are even engaged in a transaction. Combined with this market penetration is our international presence throughout the Asia-Pacific region, the United States, and EMEA.

The Corporate Finance team is looking to add an Associate inSydney.

Associates work on transactions that provide exposure to various services, including M&A, and leveraged buyouts.

Responsibilities

As an Associate, youwill:

• Prepare, analyze and help explain historical and projected financialinformation.

• Createfinancialmodels.

• Coordinate and perform business duediligence.

• Prepare confidential information memoranda, management presentations, marketing pitches and other presentations.

• Valuecompaniesandbusinesses.

• Lead the planning and execution of marketingengagements.

• Build relationships and maintain direct contact with clients and prospective clients, professional advisors and other stakeholders.

• Supervise junior staff members in financialanalyses.

• Assist in the marketing and planning ofengagements.

Qualifications

• You will have a strong academic track record and achieved a 2:1 or equivalentdegree

• 3-4years ofadvisoryexperiencewithineitheranM&A,generalistorIndustryteam

• Experience within transactional services or corporate development also considered, when in addition to M&A

• Fundamental understanding of financial valuation methodologies, andapplications

• Advanced financial modelling and analytical abilities; strong LBO and DCF modellingskills

• Strong qualitative and quantitative researchskills

• Understanding of financial statements analysis with the ability to work through key assumptions, implicit caveats, and limitations

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English areessential

• Strong knowledge ofExcel

• Independent thinker and resourceful problem solver driven tosucceed

• Strong work ethic, organizational skills and ability to multitask iscrucial

• Motivated and demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff in a rapidly changing, demanding, but ultimately rewarding environment
