As aCT Technologist, youplay a vital role in ensuring the safety of patientsby providingaccuratecomputed tomography imaging.You will perform scans for a high-volumeoutpatient department, with the potential to see up to 40 patients in eight hours. Because of this fast-paced workflow,efficiency andtimeliness are essential. While this unit can get busy, you will still havenumerous opportunities to explore the wealth of educational and professional developmentopportunities offered byCleveland Clinic.Â

A caregiver in this position worksweekenddays, 9am -9:30pm.Â
Â
A caregiver who excels in this role will:Â Â
Acquire patients chart data/requisition and reviewboth todetermine correct room set-up and learn of any specific medical problems andcontraindications to the study.Â
Verify that the study being ordered correlates to the diagnostic needs.Â
Educate patientsregarding procedure,equipmentand exam to ensure understanding and cooperation.Â
Maintain all aspects of the CT area, including the technical and clerical components, to ensure proper quality assurance results and any required documentation.Â
Â
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Â Â
Graduate of an accreditedschool of Radiologic TechnologyÂ
Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(R) (ARRT) in good standingÂ
Computed Tomography (CT)Certification [R.T.(R) (CT) (ARRT)]within one year of hireÂ
Basic Life Support (BLS)CertificationÂ
Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and related pathologic processesÂ

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Â Â
Oneyearofexperience as a General Radiologic TechnologistÂ

Physical Requirements:
Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
Must be able to lift and assist with lifting patients of varying weights and manipulate equipment daily.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
