Project Engineer

The Korte Company is seekingaConstructionProjectEngineer to join ourteam inSt. Louis, MO towork within our Project Management Group. This position willbe responsible for collaboration with our Project Managers to helpfacilitate all aspects of our project.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

• Assist with creation ofthemaster project schedule, while incorporating design, submittals,fabrication and construction activities 

• Facilitate flow of information amongOwners, Designers,Preconstruction, Quality Assurance, Subcontractors/Suppliers and Field divisions 

• Assist Project Manager with and document project coordination meetings 

• Read and interpret contracts, terms, provisions, estimates, agreements, set up sheets, reports,specifications and plans todetermine processing and completion procedures 

• Work with Project Manager to set schedules andexpedite the submittal review/approval process 

• Create, manage, process and logRFIs andsubmittals 

• Track potential changes through the request for change (RFC) system 

• Identify
  and documentclose-out procedures includingachecklist  

• Prepare andprovide owner with warranty letters,maintenance and operation manuals 

• Travel to jobsitesapproximately once per month

• Previous experience with P6 is preferred 

EDUCATION +EXPERIENCE 

Qualified applicants will have:  

• Degree in Construction Management or Construction Engineering, Architecture, Civil or other related Engineering
  field  

• 2years’ experience in similar role isrequired
