Sales Development, Process Raman

Job Summary

• Location: South Korea (Nationwide coverage; primary customer base in Songdo and Pangyo)
• Portfolio: AIO Process Raman Analyzer
• Primary Market: Bio/Pharma, with longer-term expansion into semiconductor, battery, advanced materials, and other industrial applications
• Role Focus: Sales development combined with strong technical and application expertise; product and technical expertise is highly valued
• Preferred Technical Background: Raman spectroscopy, Process Raman, PAT, molecular spectroscopy, or related analytical technologies
• Preferred Skills: Hands-on experience with spectroscopic data analysis, chemometrics, multivariate analysis, or data modeling
• English: Professional working proficiency; able to participate in regular meetings and technical Q&A with global stakeholders

DESCRIPTION:

Join our commercial team in a Sales Development role focused on Process Raman, responsible for accelerating growth of our AIO Process Raman Analyzer solutions across South Korea.

This role will expand Process Raman applications in Bio/Pharma while developing new opportunities across industrial and advanced materials markets, including semiconductor and battery applications. You will combine commercial development with technical application support, working closely with customers to understand their processes, evaluate Raman data, and develop solutions that address their analytical and process needs.

You will work with application, service, marketing, and other cross-functional teams to convert technical evaluations into sustainable business opportunities and revenue growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive sales development and growth for AIO Process Raman Analyzer solutions across South Korea.

• Expand Process Raman adoption in Bio/Pharma and develop new opportunities across industrial and advanced materials markets, including semiconductor and battery applications.

• Identify new customers, applications, and business opportunities through direct customer engagement.

• Understand customer processes and analytical requirements and recommend appropriate Process Raman solutions.

• Support application development, including Raman data interpretation, data analysis, and modeling-related activities where appropriate.

• Manage opportunities from initial technical evaluation through proposal development, negotiation, and revenue conversion.

• Collaborate with application, service, marketing, and other cross-functional teams to support customer adoption.

• Maintain a healthy sales pipeline, monitor market trends, and identify emerging applications for Process Raman technology.

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Materials Science, Analytical Science, or a related scientific or engineering discipline.

• 8+ years of relevant experience in scientific instrumentation, spectroscopy, process analytics, technical sales, application support, or business development.

• Experience in B2B technical sales, application development, or customer-facing technical roles involving scientific or analytical technologies.

• Ability to understand customer processes and technical requirements and translate them into practical analytical solutions.

• Experience developing business opportunities and working with customers from technical evaluation through commercial conversion.

• Fluency in Korean and professional working proficiency in English, with the ability to travel within South Korea as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Raman spectroscopy, Process Raman, PAT (Process Analytical Technology), or related process analytical technologies.

• Hands-on experience with spectroscopic data analysis, chemometrics, multivariate analysis, or data modeling.

• Experience developing analytical or spectroscopy applications in Bio/Pharma, industrial processing, advanced materials, semiconductor, battery, or related markets.

• Demonstrated ability to work directly with customers to develop new applications and convert technical evaluations into business opportunities.
