Kingsborough Community College (KCC), founded in 1963, is a community college located in Manhattan Beach, Brooklyn, and one of 25 institutions within the City University of New York (CUNY) system. KCC is committed to its mission of providing access to high-quality educational opportunities for a diverse population, both in career-related fields and in the liberal arts and sciences, to promoting student learning and development, and to strengthening and serving local communities. The college enrolls approximately 20,000 degree, dual enrollment (high school students taking college coursework) and continuing education students each year, including 7,000 students working to earn an associate degree, supported by 1500 full and part-time faculty and staff.
In 2025, CUNY launched CUNY Beyond, a university‑wide transformation initiative designed to embed career readiness into every aspect of the undergraduate experience. The initiative ensures that all CUNY students gain the knowledge, skills, applied experiences, and employer connections needed to successfully transition into fulfilling, well‑paying careers. Through comprehensive career exploration, skills development, and direct industry engagement, CUNY Beyond aims to elevate student success and expand economic mobility across all undergraduate campuses.
The Manager for Data and Operations is a key member of the team that will lead CUNY Beyond at KCC. They will report to the Assistant Vice President for Careers and Industry Partnerships.
General Description
The Manager for Data and Operations will support the implementation of CUNY Beyond at Kingsborough. The role is fundamental to the success of CUNY Beyond and will play a critical role on the team advancing this marquee effort. The focus of the role will include but is not limited to developing systems and processes to support the launch and scale of the project, and supporting on data collection, analysis and reporting
Duties
Process Creation, Management and Improvement
Analyze current workflows and communication processes
Suggest and then launch new processes to fill gaps and improve coordination, information flow, and efficiency
Suggest technology to improve effectiveness
Help the college become more efficient and effective
Data Collection,Analysis, Display and Reporting
Track, measure, analyze, and report on CUNY Beyond's implementation and outcomes at the collegeÂ
Build and maintain an integrated system of data sources, pipelines, and standard reports to support ongoing implementation, measurement and learning
Create dashboards to monitor progress
Monitor performance metrics and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement
Partner to configure student information systems, CRMs, and other tech platforms to reliably capture required data inputs and produce the outputs and outcomes to track and measure students' success
Analyze data and bring insights to leaders to improve decision making
Implement and continuously improve the college's data collection, management, sharing, and reporting practices in alignment
Reporting
Compile data for reporting, proposal creation and similar projects
Help develop clear narratives based on data and evidence
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Relationship Development
Work with a wide range of stakeholders throughout the college, with CUNY Central Office, and external partners
Communicate with different types of partners with deep attention to audience
Develop guidance for different types of users
Other
Perform special projects and other duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and at least two to four years of experience conceiving and implementing data collection, monitoring, and reporting strategies, preferably related to programs impacting education, workforce development, or business development
Experience developing, managing and improving programs or processes within complex work environments
Superb verbal and interpersonal communication skills to work and interact effectively, collaboratively, and cooperatively with a diverse community of students, faculty, staff, and external constituents in a large organization
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and with a focus on continuous improvement
Ability to think strategically and creatively and problem-solve to help KCC reach its goals
Ability to analyze data and then draw conclusions
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and complex work environment
Demonstrated team-player mentality, willing to roll up sleeves and assist with all-hands-on-deck efforts as needed
Commitment to KCC’s mission of promoting the equitable upward economic mobility of graduates
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in education, workforce development, government, and/or social services is preferred
Familiarity with Airtable and data visualizations
Experience with CRMs, LMSs, and/or student support technology applications
Physical Requirements
This position is located in a professional office environment and is currently hybrid, working in person 4 days and remotely 1 day per week.
While performing these duties, the employee is required to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to, lifting items (up to 20 pounds), bending, reaching, sitting for prolonged periods of time.

Pay Range:
Minimum - Maximum: $90,838 - $98,995
