ABOUT THE JOB 

As an Engineer Manager for Workplace, you will be accountable for the leadership of 

oneormoreengineeringscrumteams toplan,deliverandsupportservicefeatures 

thatdelivercustomervalueand/ormatureservicecapability. Thepositionisalso 

accountableforexecuting thepeopleleaderfundamentals inlinewith NABPolicies, 

driving alearning-basedculturewith anability tosetandgainagreementforrealistic 

and stretchingobjectives for the team. 

YOUR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Managemulti-Agile teams todeliver engineering standards, sprint backlogs,andplans,engineers’responsibilitiesandperformancemanagement,codequality,adherence todevelopment,andtestingguardrails. 

• Managemilestones,deliverables,risks,anddependenciesof theengineeringteams. 

• Educate the engineering teams and ensure the release of features toproductiontocomply with NAB risk management frameworks. 

• Ability tocreateandmaintainrelationshipswith awiderangeofstakeholders 

• Be thevoiceofreasonbetweenspeedandquality; 

• Evangelistof the T-shapedworkingmodel;coachengineers to be T-shaped,versatile,andtakeresponsibilityoutsidetheircoredisciplines; 

• Linemanagement (1:1meetings,personaldevelopment &trainingplan,careerpath,probationreviews,andperformancereviews); 

• Providetechnicalleadershipacrossarchitecture,APIs,cloudservices,platformengineering,andDevOpspractices,supportingteams tomakesoundtechnicaldecisions. 

• Beresponsibleforcontinuousimprovementof theteams; 

• Leadinitiativesforimplementingefficient developmentanddeliveryprocesses; 

• Drive a learning-based culture with an ability to set and gain agreement forrealisticandstretchingobjectivesfor theteam. 

• Partner closely with Product Owners to align business outcomes, roadmap priorities, and engineering execution 

• Drive delivery of customer-focused outcomes that improve product value, user experience, and businessobjectives. 

• Fulfil other tasks as assigned by your People Leader and/or authorized representative of NAB Vietnam from time to time. 

YOUR SKILL AND EXPERIENCE 

Musthave: 

• 10+ years working experience in SoftwareDevelopment; 5+years' experienceinleadingcross-functionalAgileteams 

• Demonstrated experience leading full-stack engineering teams delivering web, API, cloud-native, and DevOps solutions. 

• Strong understanding of modern digital platforms and customer-facing products. 

• Excellentexperience in SDLCmethodologies –Scrum,Kanban,Waterfall 

• Provenability tomanageanddelivercomplextechnologyprojectsinvolvingmultipleengineeringteamsbothonshoreandoffshore 

• Real-worldexperiencewithlarge-scaleAgileadoption,notjusttheoreticalknowledge. 

• Strongstakeholdermanagementexperience; 

• Provenpeopleleadership,teambuilding,motivation,andcoachingskills 

• Experience inmanagingcodeandchangemanagementprocesses 

• Experience with IT Service Management (e.g.Release Management) andexperiencewithusingServiceNoworsimilar. 

• Strong ability to communicate at both strategic and operational level internallyandexternally,makingeffectivedecisionsbalancingbusinessandstakeholderneeds 

• FluentEnglishskills 

Nice tohave: 

• Agile –CertifiedScrumMaster (preferred) 

• Experience in theBankingorFinancialServicesindustry; (preferred)
