The Coyote factory in the United Arab Emirates will be the first of its kind – a lean, high-velocity production center for next-generation counter-UAS technologies. We areseeking bold, execution-driventeam membersto helpdrivethe standard for operational excellence.
As aManufacturing Development Engineeryouwilllead and coordinate with UScounterpartstoset up UAE facilityby providing technical manufacturingassistancefrom theearly development phases through transition tofull scaleproduction.In this role, youwillleverage your technical knowledge of manufacturing capabilities, producttechnologies, factoryrequirements and business processes toestablish and execute the manufacturingplan and influence technical program decisions to support the overalloperations.
What You Will Do
Manufacturing process development and factory capabilities analysis to ensureproductionreadiness and improve product producibility
Participation in manufacturing and test requirements development
Developing Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions, workflow/routing, labor standards,tool and fixture designs.
Providing technical input and peer review to engineering designs and design changes
Providing technical guidance and problem solving toassembly and quality team
Applying manufacturing engineering skillsets across the value stream to resolveconstraints,improve process and product designs.
Serving as the manufacturing and producibility authority within the program
Recommending process and procedural changes to ensure thatobjectives in the areas ofcost, efficiency, and quality are met
Designing, controlling, and improving the producibility of products through collaborationwith a multi-disciplined team
Identifying and resolving constraints across the program
Participating in corrective action investigation
QualificationsYou Must Have
Requires abachelor’s degreeManufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineeringand minimumfive years of relevant experience.
Experience working in manufacturingproduction with manufacturing process development or improvement
Technical drawing interpretation, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) andproficiency with CAD solid modeling tools (preference for CREO/ProE)
Experience with technical writing,interpreting and improving technical drawings andcommunicating technical information to different audiences
Qualifications We Prefer:
Ability toidentify, reduce andeliminate cost,quality and schedule constraints throughtechnical engagements along with an innovative mindset that drives continuousimprovement, lean manufacturing and keeps pace with advances in technology
Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude with the ability to work across disciplines in ateam environment.
Experience with MRP systems and Manufacturing Readiness Assessments
Ability to work in highly controlled, constraint driven production environment
Good communicator with confidence to engage both shop floor teams and senior management
