About the Role:
We are looking for a Senior UX Designer with strong expertise in digital accessibility and inclusive design to support accessibility work across a large digital organization.

This role combines hands-on accessibility audits with long-term capability building. You’ll help teams identify accessibility issues, improve existing digital experiences, and most importantly design accessibility into products from the beginning rather than addressing it at the end.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate digital products and key user journeys against WCAG 2.2 AA

• Conduct manual accessibility assessments, including keyboard-only navigation and screen-reader testing

• Use tools such as NVDA, VoiceOver or JAWS alongside automated accessibility tools

• Identify accessibility issues that automated tools may miss, including focus behaviour, reading order, labels, announcements and interaction quality

• Prioritise accessibility issues based on user impact, severity and delivery constraints

• Translate findings into clear, actionable guidance for designers and engineering teams

• Review UX work and provide practical feedback to help teams create more accessible solutions

• Turn accessibility findings into clear, backlog-ready remediation actions

• Contribute to usability testing with users with disabilities

• Help strengthen accessibility practices across design systems, products and teams

• Contribute to accessibility standards, methodology, training and awareness initiatives

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Senior UX Designer with a strong focus on digital accessibility and inclusive design

• Hands-on experience assessing digital products against WCAG 2.2 AA

• Strong experience with manual accessibility testing, including keyboard and screen-reader evaluation

• Experience working with NVDA, VoiceOver, JAWS or similar tools

• Ability to combine automated testing with human judgement and UX expertise

• Experience giving designers and product teams clear, practical accessibility feedback

• Experience prioritising accessibility issues and translating them into actionable improvements

• Experience conducting usability testing with people with disabilities

• Good understanding of design systems and accessible components and patterns

• Strong collaboration skills across UX, product, engineering, compliance/legal and other stakeholders

• Comfortable working in a cross-functional environment and influencing teams through expertise and guidance

Certification

Relevant accessibility certification or current training is expected or strongly preferred.

Certifications such as IAAP WAS, CPWA, CPACC, DHS Trusted Tester or W3C WAI training are considered a strong plus. Equivalent demonstrable experience is also valued.
