Junior Accountant

Position Summary

Our client is seeking aJunior Accountant to support daily accounting operations with a focus on accounts payable, invoice processing, payment administration, and financial record maintenance. This role will work closely with senior accounting professionals to ensure accurate transaction processing, timely payments, and organized financial reporting across multiple entities.

What You'll Do

• Process vendor invoices and ensure proper coding, approval routing, and payment preparation.
• Verify invoices against purchase orders, receiving records, and agreed terms.
• Monitor finance inboxes and respond to routine inquiries from vendors and internal teams.
• Maintain vendor records, tax documentation, and accounting files.
• Post incoming and outgoing payments and reconcile account activity.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and unmatched transactions.
• Prepare payment batches, remittance documentation, and supporting records.
• Assist with month-end close activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, and aging reports.
• Support audit requests, Form 1099 reporting, and other compliance-related activities.
• Collaborate with senior accountants to improve processes and maintain accurate financial records.
