Job Title: Junior Network Administrator
Job Type: Contract to Hire W2

ENTERPRISE NETWORK OPERATIONS & SUPPORT
We are seeking a motivated and technically capable Junior Network Administrator to join our team and support enterprise network infrastructure across multiple locations nationwide.
This is an excellent opportunity for a networking professional looking to strengthen their technical expertise while playing an important role in maintaining the reliability, performance, and security of a modern, distributed enterprise network environment.
This service focused position works closely with end users, internal IT teams, telecommunications providers, vendors, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate is an effective communicator, methodical troubleshooter, collaborative team member, and customer focused professional who can provide timely and dependable technical support.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform daily network monitoring, health checks, and routine operational reviews
• Complete network administration activities based on service tickets, user requests, maintenance requirements, and approved projects
• Troubleshoot and resolve LAN, WAN, internet, VPN, and general connectivity issues
• Diagnose and remediate network infrastructure incidents while escalating complex issues to senior team members when appropriate
• Assist with the configuration, implementation, maintenance, and documentation of network devices and services
• Provide professional support to remote and onsite users through phone, chat, email, and approved support tools
• Coordinate with internal IT teams, vendors, telecommunications providers, and other stakeholders to resolve service related issues
• Maintain accurate network diagrams, configuration records, procedures, reports, and ticket documentation
• Participate in scheduled maintenance activities and provide after hours support when required
• Travel to industrial facilities as needed
• Perform additional related duties and projects as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Foundational understanding of networking concepts within a Cisco based environment
• Working knowledge of network protocols, systems, standards, troubleshooting methodologies, and related technologies
• Familiarity with LAN and WAN technologies, TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and internet connectivity
• Exposure to carrier and WAN technologies including MPLS, Ethernet services, hybrid WAN, or software defined networking
• Basic knowledge of routing and tunneling technologies such as BGP and EIGRP
• Hands on experience with access layer switches, routers, or comparable network equipment
• Understanding of structured cabling practices, including Category 5e/6 copper and single mode and multimode fiber
• Familiarity with wireless networking concepts and technologies, including wireless LAN controllers and access points
• Basic understanding of network security concepts and controls, including access control lists and firewalls
• Familiarity with unified communications, Voice over IP, and video conferencing technologies is a plus
• Ability to troubleshoot systematically, manage competing priorities, accurately document work, and collaborate effectively across technical teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and nontechnical audiences
• Ability to develop and maintain accurate network diagrams, reports, procedures, and implementation documentation
• Willingness to work in office, data center, warehouse, and field environments as needed
• Ability to safely lift and move network equipment weighing up to 60 pounds, with reasonable accommodation where applicable
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification or a comparable networking certification
