- Inspect receipt materials, welding, non-destructive testing, post-weld heat treatment, factory function tests, structures, bought-out items, painting, galvanising and packing activities
- Identify, communicate and support the resolution of quality issues, non-conformances and potential rework
- Prepare daily inspection activity reports and maintain inspection photos, videos and records for progressive compilation of the Manufacturers Data Record
- Review subcontractor inspection and testing reports and support the compilation of MDR documentation
- Manage customer-issued NCRs and track corrective and preventive actions through to closure
- Support supplier shop audits and project surveillance audits against relevant standards and Jord’s Integrated Management System
- Monitor inspection activities against project quality objectives and KPIs and contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement
- Liaise effectively with the QC Manager, project teams, clients, suppliers and inspectors throughout project execution
Â
About You
You'll be practical, thorough and confident working in a factory environment, with the judgement to identify quality risks and work constructively with others to resolve them. Â You'll also bring:
- A tertiary qualification in Mechanical or Welding Engineering
- At least five years of relevant quality inspection experience in fabrication, pressure equipment or heavy manufacturing
- Working knowledge of ASME, API, ASTM and AWS codes and standards
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance and quality control methods, inspection processes and measurement techniques
- Experience interpreting drawings, specifications, technical data, regulations and project requirements
