Backend Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services for key components of the Xsolla platform.
• Architect and evolve microservices-based systems to support large-scale, high-performance operations.
• Implement and optimize database structures and queries for maximum efficiency and reliability.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and fault tolerance across distributed services.
• Lead efforts to improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and system observability.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor team members, and foster a culture of engineering excellence.
• Collaborate closely with product, frontend, and DevOps teams to deliver reliable and innovative solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement through automation, testing, and proactive system monitoring.
• Stay ahead of industry trends, adopting emerging technologies to enhance platform capabilities.

REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years of professional experience in in backend development (with Go).
• Proven experience in designing and maintaining microservices architectures.
• Strong background in SQL and NoSQL databases, with hands-on experience in query optimization.
• In-depth knowledge of RESTful APIs, event-driven systems, and asynchronous communication patterns.
• Practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD automation.
• Solid understanding of software design principles, OOP, and clean architecture.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha, or similar) and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication skills, leadership qualities, and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.
• Proficiency in English for technical communication and documentation.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Go frameworks such as Gin, Echo, or Fiber.
• Familiarity with GraphQL or gRPC.
• Background in distributed systems, caching layers, or message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Exposure to gaming, fintech, or digital asset platforms.
