Job Summary

As aPrincipal Managed Services Consultant, you will be a key technical authority within our Managed Services organization, combining hands-on client delivery with technical leadership, innovation, and service development. You will report to the Managed Services Manager. 

You will work with strategic enterprise clients, helping them get the most from their Atlassian Cloud environment. This is not a traditional reactive support role: we expect you to anticipate needs, identify improvement opportunities, challenge existing ways of working, and proactively bring new ideas and solutions to our clients.

Alongside client-facing activities, you will help define the technical direction of the Managed Services team, explore emerging Atlassian Cloud capabilities, and turn new technologies and ideas into scalable services that can be deployed across our client portfolio.

The role is preferablybased in Germany and/or requiresfluency in both German and English, as you will work closely with one of our enterprise clients, for whom German fluency is essential, as well as with our international teams.

What You’ll Be Working On

Deliver Technical Excellence

• • Act as a senior technical expert for complex enterprise Atlassian Cloud environments.

  • Proactively identify risks, recurring issues, and opportunities to improve platform stability, scalability, and adoption.

  • Provide hands-on support on complex client needs while driving sustainable, long-term solutions.

  Shape & Scale Managed Services

  • • Help define the technical direction and standards of our Managed Services practice.

    • Identify emerging or underused Atlassian Cloud capabilities and turn them into valuable, repeatable client services.

    • Develop scalable offerings such as health checks, optimization services, and advanced analytics.

    Drive Innovation

    • • Explore how Atlassian Analytics, AI, and automation can improve client experience and Managed Services delivery.

      • Collaborate with international teams to identify and scale successful practices and offerings across regions.

      Lead Through Expertise

      • • Act as a technical reference and mentor for the Managed Services team.

        • Partner with Sales, Delivery, and Transformation Consulting on strategic client engagements and transformation programs.

        • Promote a proactive, consultative mindset focused on continuous client value.

Do You Have What It Takes?

You bring8–10+ years of experience in technical consulting, application support, platform operations, or similar enterprise technology environments. You havedeep expertise in Atlassian Cloud and a strong understanding of the broader Atlassian ecosystem, its architecture, and best practices.

You are comfortable tackling complex technical challenges and looking beyond immediate fixes to designscalable and sustainable solutions. You can assess client environments, identify areas for improvement, and proactively recommend ways to strengthen performance, governance, adoption, and scalability.

You are curious about emerging technologies and keep up with the latest developments across the Atlassian ecosystem, particularlyAtlassian Analytics, AI, automation, and Cloud innovation. You are able to turn new capabilities and ideas into practical solutions that create value for clients.

You combine strongownership and autonomy with a consultative mindset. You can independently lead technical initiatives, understand and challenge client requirements, and engage confidently with both technical and business stakeholders in complex enterprise environments.

As a Principal Consultant, you naturallyshare your expertise and influence technical direction, helping colleagues grow and raising standards across the team. You are comfortable collaborating across functions, teams, and international regions.
