Cylinder Repair Technician - Fluid Power

Price Engineering is seeking aCylinder Repair Technician to join our team and support the repair, rebuilding, testing, and troubleshooting ofhydraulic cylinders and fluid power components. This is a hands-on role for a mechanically skilled individual who enjoys diagnosing problems, working with tools and equipment, and seeing a repair through from disassembly to final testing.

The ideal candidate has strongmechanical aptitude, experience withhand and power tools, and the ability to readhydraulic schematics, diagrams, and blueprints. You’ll work both independently and as part of a team in aclimate-controlled shop environment, with opportunities for ongoing technical training and development.

Essential Functions

• Disassemble, inspect, evaluate, repair, and rebuild hydraulic cylinders and fluid power components
• Performfailure analysis and identify required replacement parts and repair needs
• Use a variety ofhand and power tools and machining equipment, including drill presses, lathes, polishing and honing equipment, and other shop machinery
• Read and interprethydraulic schematics, diagrams, and blueprints
• Performhydraulic testing and troubleshooting, including operation of flow meters, data acquisition equipment, multimeters, and precision measuring tools
• Operatehydraulic test stands and test hydraulic systems to verify proper operation and performance
• Troubleshoothydraulic circuits and fluid power systems
• Assemble and reassemblehydraulic components and cylinders
• Prepare repair quotes usingMicrosoft Excel and Word
• Communicate and send documentation usingMicrosoft Outlook
• Performpneumatic spray painting of repaired components
• Operate aforklift and other material-handling equipment as needed
• Maintain aclean, organized, and safe repair department
• Follow established safety, quality, and repair procedures
• Complete additional projects and responsibilities as assigned by management

Experience, Education and Skills

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
• Mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills are required
• Experience usinghand tools and power tools in a mechanical, industrial, hydraulic, or manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and understandschematics, diagrams, and blueprints
• Experience with or willingness to learnhydraulic cylinder repair, rebuilding, and testing
• Stronglogical problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of ateam
• Strongwritten and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated with the ability toorganize, prioritize, and manage multiple assignments
• Demonstratessound judgment, integrity, and professional conduct
• Forklift experience/certification preferred
• Validdriver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability and willingness to continuetechnical education and training
• Must providebasic personal hand tools; Price Engineering provides specialty tools specific to the job
• Ability to lift up to50 pounds and perform bending, assembly, installation, and troubleshooting activities associated with fluid power systems
