Director of DevOps

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy & Leadership: Define and execute the company'sDevOps roadmap, ensuring alignment with business and engineering goals. Lead and mentor a team ofDevOps engineers, SREs, and automation specialists. Drive aculture of automation, continuous improvement, and collaboration across development and operations teams.
• Infrastructure & Cloud Management: Design, implement, and managescalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).Overseecontainerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).Establishinfrastructure-as-code (IaC) best practices using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• CI/CD & Automation: Develop and maintainCI/CD pipelines to support rapid, reliable software releases (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD).Driveautomation for deployment, monitoring, and self-healing systems. Implementobservability and logging solutions (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
• Security & Compliance: EnsureDevSecOps principles are integrated into the software development lifecycle. Implementsecurity best practices, including IAM policies, vulnerability scanning, and secrets management (Vault, AWS Secrets Manager).Maintaincompliance with industry standards (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR etc.).
• Performance & Reliability: DefineSLAs, SLOs, and SLIs for system reliability and uptime. Overseeincident management, disaster recovery, and business continuityplanning. Optimize performance tuning and capacity planning for cloud infrastructure.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering, with at least3+ years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience withcloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) andKubernetes.
• Expertise inCI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation), and automation.
• Strong knowledge ofnetworking, security, and monitoring tools.
• Experience withmicroservices, containers, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience withGitOps, DevSecOps, and SRE principles.
• Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience
• Experience inhigh-availability, large-scale environments.
• Certifications (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes Administrator, etc.).
• Experience inmachine learning infrastructure is a plus.
