Your responsibilities

• Own technical projects end to end. You frame the problem, design the solution, lead implementation and rollout, and stay accountable for how it runs in production.
• Shape technical design decisions. You work on feature-level architecture as well as topics that affect the whole system, such as data models, API design and tooling.
• Build solutions around user needs. You work closely with Product, Design and Business to shape the right solution. When you see a better way, you question the original requirement.
• Find the problems nobody has ticketed yet. You spot hidden risks and tech debt early, make the case for fixing them and help set priorities.
• Raise the bar around you. You give code reviews that teach, pair program and mentor mid-level engineers.
• Help us grow the team. You take part in hiring, both technical interviews and conversations about collaboration and team fit.

What you bring

• Proven production experience. You have 5+ years of experience building and running production software, ideally at a growing SaaS company. You've built features and also supported them live.
• Strong TypeScript and Node.js skills. Our backend runs on NestJS and our frontend on React. You're strong in one and comfortable working in the other.
• API and system design that holds up. You've designed APIs and system boundaries that held up under real usage, and you can explain what you would do differently today.
• Ownership beyond the code. For you, deployment, testing, CI/CD and observability are part of the product, not an afterthought.
• A track record of mentoring. You've mentored engineers and can name people who got better because of you.
• Self-awareness. You know your strengths and use them on purpose. When it makes sense, you ask for support early instead of staying stuck.
• Pragmatic and product-minded. You work in a practical, solution-focused way and keep the product vision in mind. You ask "why" before you jump to "how".
• Fluent English. German is a plus.
