The hardware team at ISEE is seeking a full-time electrical engineer with a strong foundation in the fundamentals of electrical engineering. This job includes research as well as development of replacement or new subsystems in the electro-mechanical architecture for both prototype designs as well as production intent designs for autonomous vehicles.
Role responsibilities include:-Embedded development, programming and working with embedded developers-Defining and designing communications systems such as CAN(J1939, CANOpen) SPI, I2C, USB, and RS-232.-Working with others to develop and design the overall electrical architecture-Working with others to integrate electronics into vehicles-Design of safety critical system elements-Verification and Validation of electrical systems-Work with suppliers and drive the implementation of development into production-PCB layout, schematic design
Qualifications-Bachelor/Master Degree in Electrical Engineering-Passionate about self-driving vehicles-Excellent communication skills-Experience with electrical drawings and parts management-Experience with prototyping of boards
Preferred-10+ years of work experience-Experience with actuators and sensors of varying types-Experience with safety critical design work-Robotics/autonomous experience is a plus-Experience with Verification and Validation processes
