About DioxycleDioxycle is pioneering breakthrough carbon utilization technologies that convert industrial emissions into sustainable chemicals with unprecedented energy and cost efficiency. Having completed our industrial-scale electrolyzer prototype, we are now working with our chemical and downstream offtakers towards First-of-a-kind plant deployment and subsequent commercial roll-out. We are supported by world-class funders including Bill-Gates-founded Breakthrough Energy Ventures, Lowercarbon Capital and Gigascale Capital and have raised $40M to date. We operate from two centers in Paris and California (so whether you are passionate about outdoors or good food/art scenes, we have a location for you to join!) Your MissionDioxycle is hiring a JuniorTest Bench Engineer to take care of our electrolysis test benches and prototypes. As a Junior Test Bench Engineer, you will have a key hands-on role designing, assembling, and troubleshooting automated test benches. You will apply mechanical, electrical, and software skills in your every day work, contributing to continued improvement and operation of our extensive electrolyzer test systems. You will implement different regulation loops for pressure, temperature, flow, etc, and, more generally, contribute to various systems projects. Your Responsibilities- Design, construction and improvement of end-to-end test benches, including the mechanical, electrical, software and process parts- Troubleshooting and maintenance of the test benches, including instrumentation and controls- Design of the electrolysis sub-systems using thermal and fluid calculations- Testing and validation of the sub-systems through the implementation of test protocols- Implementation and tuning of PID controllers- Writing of documentation- Benchmark suppliers and contact them- Maintain inventory and improve the inventory system We are looking for a pragmatic, hands-on, and versatileTest Bench Engineer who is dedicated to advancing our mission and possesses the skills outlined below.

Abilities and expertise we are looking for

  • Mechanical gas and liquid management system building experience, including knowledge of relevant fitting types
  • Experience with sensors and actuators for measurement and control of gases and liquids
  • Realization of a heat balance
  • Calculation of a pressure drop in a fluid line
  • Coding of automation sequences in Python or C++ is a plus
  • Experience using CAD programs is a plus
  • Professional English as it is our daily work language
