AI Software Developer Intern

The Opportunity:

Join our team for a hands-on learningexperience where you'll work alongsideexperienced engineers and cybersecurity specialists on meaningful projects that directly supportfleet and ashore operations.

This internship is designed for studentspursuing degrees in computer science, cybersecurity, orrelated technical fields who want to gain practicalexperience insoftwaredevelopment, integration, and AI-enabled automation within a mission-focused, secure environment. You'll contribute to real client work while receiving mentorship and buildingskills that matter in government technologyconsulting.

This is a role designed to support our team throughout the academic year as you complete your degree. The structure allows you to balance meaningful client work with your academic commitments. You'll be part of a team that values curiosity, clear communication, and theability to learn quickly in dynamic problem spaces. This role is located in San Diego, CA.

You Have:   

• Experience writing and debugging code in languages such as Python in professional, personal, or academic environments
• Experience with fundamental programming concepts, including data structures, control flow, functions, and basic debugging
• Experience with version control using Git in professional, personal, or academic environments
• Ability to display curiosity and willingness to learn in ambiguous, mission-driven environments
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly in writing and verbally
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
• Scheduled to obtain aBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a STEM field by Summer 2027

Nice If You Have:   

• Experience insoftwaredevelopment, data science, or cybersecurity in professional or academic environments
• Experience with REST APIs, web services, or system integration in professional or academic environments
• Experience with AI/ML concepts, frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch, or LLM tools
• Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, or containerization such as Docker
• Experience with cybersecurity, networking, or federal IT systems in professional or academic environments
• Experience with Agile or collaborativesoftwaredevelopment practices

Clearance:
