Job Title: Registered Dietitian
Weekly Hours: Full-time
Supervised by: Parkside Administrator
Location: Verdae office - Greenville, SC
Position Overview: Provides nutrition education and care plans in the pediatric office setting.
Responsibilities:
- Plans, directs, and provides nutrition education and counseling to Parkside Pediatrics patients (infancy to 21 years) and their caregivers in an outpatient, office setting.
- Conducts nutrition assessments, creates interventions, and monitorsgrowth, nutritional status, and treatment outcomes through ongoing follow-up appointments.
- Educate patients and caregivers on age-appropriate nutrition recommendations and feeding strategies.
- Provide nutrition education and coordination of care for: Picky eating and selective eating behaviors, Pediatric overweight and obesity management, Failure to thrive and poor weight gain, NICU graduate nutrition and growth monitoring, Enteral nutrition and gastrostomy tube (G-tube) management, Food allergies, Feeding disorders and oral aversion, Eating disorders (including anorexia nervosa, ARFID, bulimia nervosa, and binge eating disorder), and general pediatric nutrition needs based on age.
- Create and distribute educational materials tailored to pediatric populations and caregiver needs.
- Counsel families using motivational interviewing and family-centered approaches.
- Works both autonomously and collaboratively.
- Communicates with providers, external specialists (ie., Feeding Therapy, Counselors), and the patient’s family to ensure continuity of care.
- Completes and maintains timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Takes ownership of ensuring the Parkside Way is experienced by Parkside patients, families, and internal team members.
- Promotes an authentic, transparent work environment with Parkside team members.
- Demonstrates excellent time management techniques.
- Attends meetings as scheduled.
- Maintains strictest confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.

Required Minimum Education & Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics. Completion of a coordinated program in Dietetics or dietetic internship. Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration and active dietetic license in South Carolina.
Pediatric experience preferred, or minimum 3 years of outpatient experience. Additional training in feeding tube management, eating disorders, and/or NICU nutrition is beneficial.
Excellent communication, counseling, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
Work environment and Physical Demands: Requires sitting, standing, and walking associated with a normal physician office environment.
