Environmental Engineer
We are seeking resumes for afull-time Environmental Engineer. The primary responsibilities for this role include:
- Work safely and support mill safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory expectations across assigned environmental programs.
- Maintain compliance with applicable local, state, and federal environmental regulations, permits, reporting requirements, and corporate standards.
- Manage environmental programs, procedures, records, audits, inspections, and agency reporting for areas such as air, wastewater treatment, land application, and chemical management.
- Evaluate mill systems, process changes, capital projects, and new equipment installations to ensure environmental requirements are addressed and compliance risks are mitigated.
- Identify environmental issues, develop corrective actions, troubleshoot problems, and follow through with operations, maintenance, engineering, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Support environmental training, compliance procedures, project planning, and continuous improvement efforts that reduce risk, improve performance, and support mill objectives.
- Additional duties as assigned by management.

Basic Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical, environmental, civil engineering or related fields
- 0-4 years of experience in process engineering or environmental engineering
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Experience using Auto Cad, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Project
Preferred:
- Knowledge of pulp & paper industry, wastewater treatment and recovery operations
- Familiarity with instrumentation and control systems
- Experience in related fields or co-op/internships in paper industry
- Public relations with people outside of the company
- Students that sign up for interviews during the Career Fairs and On-Campus Interview days at the schools listed below, will be given first consideration. *
