As a provider in our practice, you’ll play a vital role in creating positive experiences for our patients and families. You will:
- Provide health maintenance care, including well-child and sick-child exams. Â
- Manage routine developmental screenings Â
- Provide diagnosis and treatments for common childhood illnesses  Â
- Teach and counsel children and their families on issues related to health

You’re a provider who wants to make a true impact. You bring:
- Nurse Practitioner (NP): Bachelor of Science and master’s degree in nursing (PNP or FNP )Â
- Physician Assistant (PA): Bachelor of Science (prior to 2020) or a master’s degree in physician assistant studies Â
- A current NYS License and Board Certification 
- Comfort caring for children of all ages (newborn–18 years)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- EHR proficiency

Job Summary:Â Â
The role of the pediatric primary care midlevel provider is to provide care to children from birth through 18 years of age with an in-depth knowledge and experience in pediatric primary healthcare including well childcare and prevention/management of common pediatric acute illnesses and chronic conditions. Â This care is provided to support optimal health of children within the context of their family, community, and environmental setting. Â Adheres to all office policies and procedures and the employee manual. Â Â
Essential Job Duties:
- Provides health maintenance care, including well-child and sick-child exams. Â
- Manages routine developmental screenings Â
- Provides Diagnosis and treatments for common childhood illnesses  Â
- Teaches and counsels children and their families on issues related to health  Â
- Performs selected administrative duties and assists physicians as part of the clinical team Â
- Provides accurate and prompt documentation for all patients  Â
- Maintains information of patient handouts and assists with office newsletter as appropriate Â
- Knowledge of medical equipment and common safety hazards and precautions, OSHA, knowledge of computers and EHR systems.   Â
- Ability to maintain excellent communication skills, confidentiality, and work well with children of all ages, and their parents/legal guardians. Â
- Contributes to the development of policies and procedures. Â
- Ability to manage caseload as assigned by physician or practice manager. Â
- Provides courteous and professional service to patients and their families  Â
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives Â
