JOBÂ PURPOSE: To ensure a safe, efficient, well-maintained hotel environment while providing maintenance services to guests in a courteous, professional, and engaging manner.Â

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Â
- Maintain all public areas, guest rooms, meeting rooms and corridors on an on-going basis including paint, wallpaper and plastering. Â
- Performs preventive maintenance of guest rooms
- Maintain correct stock/inventory of paint supplies and materials and communicate when replenishment is needed. Â
- Aid guests in locating other areas of the hotel (walk them to destination if possible). Â
- Have a thorough understanding of fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation.  Â
- Respond to all requests from guests and associates. Â
- Assist engineers and mechanics as needed with repairs. Â
- Keep all work areas clean. Â
- Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions; complete safety training and certifications. Â
- Ensure clean uniform and professional personal appearance; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.Â
- Performs other duties as needed.Â

QUALIFICATIONS:Â
- Previous experience as a commercial painter required, hotel experience preferred. Â
- Must be able to brush, roll, spray, and work on different textures. Â
- Must be able to patch, float and repair damaged surfaces. Â
- Must be able to work with stains, lacquers, varnishes, epoxy and Bondo. Â
- Must be able to apply caulk. Â
- Must be willing to work based on business and occupancy levels.   Â
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.   Â
- Must be able to interact and communicate with the hotel guests.   Â
- Move, bend, lift, carry, crawl, squat, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Stand, walk or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift.   Â
- Must work indoors and outdoors including during extreme weather conditions.  Â
- May be asked to be part of “ride-out” crew during severe weather events. Â
- Must be able to work using ladders, scissors, and aerial lifts.  Â

- Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Stand, walk or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift.  Requires repetitive motion, including utilizing telephone/computer for an extended period or for an entire shift.Â

- Painting/finishing tools and equipment, ladder, telephone, pen/pencil, photo-copying machine and push to talk radioÂ
