Job Description
Job Summary:
The TimeFor Me Session Staffis responsible for delivering high-quality care and supervision to childrenparticipating in respite sessions. This role requires a strong commitment to child safety, engagement, and emotional well-being. Staff members are expected to activelyparticipate in all scheduled activities, including swimming, whilemaintaining a professional demeanor and fostering positive relationships with parents and guardians. This position plays a vital role in creating a supportive, enriching, and secure environment for all children inattendance.
Duties&Responsibilities:
Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in attendance throughout each session.
Review emergency data forms for critical information, including allergies, seizure disorders, behavioral concerns, and pool permission.
Take primary responsibility for the children assigned to you for the duration of the session.
Assist infacilitating designated activities and programs for children attending the session.
Maintain positive, respectful, and professional relationships with parents and guardians.
Activelyparticipate in all activities with the children, including swimming and pool time.
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor whilerepresenting the TimeFor Me program.
Ensure that all TimeFor Me sessions are conductedsafely and that high-quality care is consistently provided.
Immediately report any incidents or accidents to the TimeFor Me Respite Coordinator.
Complete all required documentation accurately and promptly, including accident reports, incident reports, and other accountability forms.
Other:
Understands that duties may be added ordeleted from the position asdeemed necessary bymanagement.
Understands thatadditional work orextended hours may be required dueto program demands.
Completes mandatory in-service hours annually in compliance with regulations and othertrainings asrequired.
Qualifications
Skills/Competencies:
Strong ability to supervise and engage children in a safe, nurturing, and developmentallyappropriate manner
Keen observation skills tomonitor behavior,identify needs, and respond proactively
Accurate andtimely recordkeeping, including incident and accident documentation
Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support colleagues and contribute to group success
Positive interaction with parents and guardians,maintaining professionalism and empathy
Creativity in engaging children through play, activities, and learning experiences
Strong organization and time management skills to balance responsibilities effectively
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or GEDrequired
Prior experience working with individuals who have intellectual disabilities or autism is preferred but notrequired.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Valid driver's license
