Liberty Resources is seeking a dedicated Behavioral Specialist to lead the provision of psychological services supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (ID/DD) residing in our IRAs. About the Behavior Specialist Role

TheBehavior Specialist is responsible for developing Behavior Support Plans, Medication Monitoring Plans and tracking tools that are in the best interest of the individual. The Behavior Specialist additionally provides training and consultation with staff to ensure consistent implementation and tracking of individual behavior events. This role supports individuals with ID/DD in living safe, meaningful, and fulfilling lives in an Individual Residential Alternative (IRA) setting.


Essential Job Functions

As aResidential (IRA) Program Supervisor, you will:

  • Write and train Behavior Support Plans (BSP) and Medication Monitoring Plans (MMP)
  • Develop effective behavior tracking tools; instruct program staff on methods to ensure consistent, accurate tracking of individual behavior events
  • Serve as the clinical representative on the Liberty Resources’ Human Rights Committee in conjunction with the PhD Psychologist
  • Teach SCIP-R curriculum
  • Stay current on 633 Regulations and ensure agency policy and procedures are up to date with updated regulations
  • Provide support and consultation in the admission and discharge of individuals

Qualifications

  • MS in Psychology or related field, experience treating individuals with co-occurring disorders, behavioral needs and/or as a Behavior Specialist.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to use a personal vehicle to transport individuals.
