Client Risk Analyst I

Job Description & Responsibilities:

A Client Risk Analyst acts as a liaison to Interactive Brokers’ professional clients in the Asia-Pacific region, including broker-dealers, hedge funds, investment managers, and proprietary trading groups. We aim to build and maintain long-term client relationships through superior, high-touch service as we continue to expand our global product offering.

• Monitor real-time systems for margin deficits, erroneous trades, significant net liquidation changes and other issues.
• Order execution across multiple asset classes: equities, options, futures, bonds, mutual funds, FX, CFDs.
• Monitor and adjust margin requirements based on regulatory rules and market risks.
• Have the ability to solve problems under pressure and focus on wide scale service issues.
• Support clients via phone, chat and tickets on trade and margin related issues.
• Assist and support the Quality Assurance Department with complaint resolution.
• Analyse existing systems and processes in order to recommend and assist in the implementation of enhancements and preventive risk measures.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

Core competencies:

• Must have strong product knowledge – Equities, Options, Futures, FX, etc.
• Analytical self-starter who takes ownership of projects and sees them through to completion
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin language skills highly preferred)
• Candidates with prior experience in the areas of middle/back office operations, compliance, electronic trading, and fund administration will be given priority 

Requirements:

• University degree 
• Minimum 2 years’ experience
• HKSI Paper 1 (Type 1, 2, and 3), FINRA Series 7 license or ability to obtain
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Bloomberg, UNIX and/or general programming experience is a plus
