Job Summary

 

CORE Electric Cooperative is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Executive Assistant to support the Chief Administrative Officer and five Directors. This position serves as a trusted administrative partner, helping Corporate Services leaders remain organized, informed, and focused on strategic and operational priorities.

The successful candidate willdemonstrate advanced Microsoft 365 skills, including experience with Microsoft Copilot and other AI-enabled productivity tools. This individual must be highly organized, attentive to detail, comfortable analyzing information, and able toanticipate needs and solve problems in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Chief Administrative Officer and five Directors.
  • Manage complex calendars, meetings, travel arrangements, correspondence, deadlines, and expense reports.
  • Prepare professional agendas, presentations, reports, spreadsheets, meeting notes, and executive-level communications.
  • Coordinate meetings, document decisions and action items, andmonitortimely follow-through.
  • Use Microsoft Copilot and other approved AI tools to summarize information, develop initial drafts, prepare meeting materials, organize action items, analyze data, and improve administrative workflows.
  • Compile, validate, analyze, and present operational, administrative, and financial data.
  • Provide basic accounting support, including invoice review, expense reconciliation, receipt tracking, budget monitoring, and financial recordkeeping.
  • Monitor deadlines and dependencies, follow up with responsible parties, and provide clear updates on progress, risks, and outstanding actions.
  • Identify administrative and operational challenges, evaluate available information, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Organize electronic records and maintain confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Serve as a professional point of contact for employees, leaders, external partners, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate division events, conferences, leadership meetings, and special projects as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least five years of progressively responsible administrative experience supporting executives, officers, Directors, or other senior leaders.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Experience using Microsoft Copilot or comparable AI productivity tools responsibly and effectively.
  • Familiarity with basic accounting practices, expense reporting, invoice review, reconciliations, budget tracking, and financial recordkeeping.
  • Experience coordinating projects, deliverables, deadlines, or cross-functional activities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple leaders and competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment, initiative, and consistent follow-through.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, communications, project management, ora related field.
  • Experience supporting multiple executives or department leaders simultaneously.
  • Experience developing dashboards, management reports, presentations, or executive briefing materials.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 workflow automation and process-improvement tools.

This individual uses technology to improve efficiency,producesaccurate and polished work, and helps six senior leaders manage priorities effectively.

This position works full-time and on-site at CORE Electric Cooperative’s Sedalia District Office.

 

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements 

The duties and tasks involve sedentary work and may require the ability to lift a maximum of 20 pounds.  Working conditions are typical to an inside working environment.
