General Description
As a DSP Substitute, you will provide on-site care and supervision for adults with developmental disabilities. You’ll assist with daily living activities and ensure each member's health, safety, and well-being in a supportive and empowering environment.
 Education / Experience
- High school diploma required
- Experience with adults with developmental disabilities preferred
- Must be 18 years or older
- Possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
 Job Tasks Include:
- Build meaningful, supportive relationships with individuals
- Provide hands-on assistance with daily living activities (bathing, hygiene, etc.)
- Support with food shopping, menu planning, and meal prep
- Assist with fire drills, health & safety routines, and overall care
- Transport members to medical appointments, recreation, and community events
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment
- Complete all required documentation in compliance with regulations
- Support social engagement and help arrange group activities
- Collaborate with families and staff for optimal care
- Attend trainings, meetings, and agency events as needed
- Ensure compliance with all background checks and required screenings
- Perform other duties as needed to support program success
Shift
Union County, NJ | Flexible Hours | Minimum 30 hrs/month
Evenings, Overnights, and Weekends Available
