Position Details

Position: Dietary Cook
Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate:$18.50 per hour
Facility: Lone Tree Post Acute

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to established menus, recipes, and dietary requirements.
• Follow special diet orders and resident-specific nutritional needs.
• Ensure meals are prepared and served in a timely manner.
• Maintain proper portion sizes and food presentation.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
• Monitor food temperatures and maintain proper food storage practices.
• Keep kitchen equipment, work areas, and food preparation areas clean and organized.
• Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies.
• Minimize food waste while maintaining meal quality.
• Work collaboratively with dietary staff and facility team members.
• Follow all facility policies, procedures, and applicable health regulations.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking or food service experience preferred.
• Healthcare or skilled nursing dietary experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow recipes, menus, and special dietary instructions.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
