Registered Nurse (RN) 

Full-Time,1st Shift  

AdultPsych Unit I Corbin, KY 

The Adult Psychiatric I unit is licensed for 22 acute psychiatric beds for patients with a primary psychiatric diagnosis. The Adult Psychiatric I unit specializes in adult care of patients 18 years old andolder and an interdisciplinary treatment team approach isutilized in caring for patients. 

Performs carerequires substantial specialized knowledge, judgement and nursing skills based upon the principles of psychological, biological,physical and social sciences in the application of the nursing process. Utilizes high-level assessment skills to design and ensure multidisciplinary patient care to meet holistic needs, incorporating established practice guidelines and regulatory standards. 

Description: 

• Provides safe, high-quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized care plans.  

• Monitors patient conditions, administers treatments and physician orders, and documents patient care accurately.  

• Educates patients and familiesregarding treatment plans, procedures, and discharge needs.  

• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to support positive patient outcomes and continuity of care.  

• Demonstrates critical thinking, clinical judgment, leadership, and teamwork in daily nursingpractice.  

• Maintains compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, licensure, and continuing education standards. 

Requirements: 

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursingrequired  

• Current Kentucky RN license or Kentucky work permitrequired  

• Associate degreerequired; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred  

• No experiencerequired; patient care experience preferred  

Certifications/Training 

• BLS through the American Heart Associationrequired within30 days of hire  

• Additionalrequired training within30 days may include:  

• Glucometer Training  

• Aegis Training  

• RN Patient Deterioration  

• Life Threatening Arrhythmia  

• Nurse Wound Care Training
