Role Summary

The Strategic Finance Manager owns financial modeling, long-range planning, and capital analysis to support executive decision-making and investor engagement. This role sits at the intersection of finance, strategy, and leadership, translating complex business realities into clear financial narratives.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Modeling & Planning

• Build and ownbottom-up financial models covering revenue, costs, cash flow, and unit economics

• Developscenario, sensitivity, and downside models to support strategic decisions

• Leadannual planning, reforecasting, and long-range planning (3–5 year outlooks)

• Evaluate new initiatives, pricing changes, investments, and partnerships

Capital & Investor Support

• Prepareinvestor, board, and lender materials (models, decks, metrics, FAQs)

• Supportfundraising, capital structure analysis, and valuation work

• Partner with leadership oncapital allocation and runway management

• Act as a key finance point of contact for select investor interactions (as required)

Strategic Decision Support

• Partner with Product, GTM, and Operations teams to assess financial impact of decisions

• Define and trackkey performance metrics tied to growth, efficiency, and scale

• Turn ambiguous problems intoclear financial insights and recommendations

Execution & Ownership

• Improve financial processes, tools, and data quality

• Ensure alignment between strategy, operating plans, and financial outcomes

• Maintain high standards for accuracy, clarity, and timeliness

What This Role Does NOT Include

• Accounting, bookkeeping, or statutory compliance ownership

• Payroll processing or transactional finance work

• Pure reporting without strategic context

• Passive analysis without decision ownership

Ideal Background & Skills

• Experience instrategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, PE, VC, or consulting

• Strong hands-on experience withcomplex financial models

• Comfort working withsenior leadership and investors

• Ability to operate inambiguous, fast-moving environments

• Excellent business judgment and written/verbal communication skills

• Advanced Excel / Sheets proficiency; familiarity with BI tools a plus

• MBA or equivalent experience preferred (not mandatory)
