Job Description

We are seeking an experiencedConsultant Paediatrician to provide high-quality specialist care toinfants, children and adolescents in a predominantly outpatient setting.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Paediatrician looking to develop a busy community-based specialist practice withexceptional earning potential, while working alongside Family Physicians, specialists and allied healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage a broad range of paediatric presentations

• Provide specialist consultations for infants, children and adolescents

• Manage acute, chronic and complex paediatric conditions

• Assess developmental, behavioural and growth concerns

• Order and interpret appropriate laboratory tests and diagnostic investigations

• Coordinate referrals and ongoing care with Family Physicians and other specialists

• Provide preventative healthcare and guidance to children and their families

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment

Qualifications

• Medical Degree with recognised postgraduate training inPaediatrics

• Specialist certification in Paediatrics from theRoyal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) or equivalent international specialist qualification

• Internationally trained Paediatricians with recognised UK, US, Australian or equivalent specialist training are encouraged to apply, subject to Ontario licensing eligibility

• Eligible for independent practice with theCollege of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)

• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, child- and family-centred approach
