Client Accounts Manager

Our client, a Malta-based Corporate Service Provider is looking to bring aClient Accounts Manager on board. In this role, you will report directly to the Senior Client Accounting Manager and take ownership of preparing and delivering financial statements for a diverse portfolio of client entities, including trusts and companies.

This is anoffice-based role offering a salary of upto €45K.

Please note that due to urgency of the role, only candidates who are based in Malta can be considered.

Role & Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation, review and quality control of financial statements and accounting deliverables

• Ensure all accounting activities align to internal policies, relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices

• Coordinate team workloads, setting priorities to meet service standards and client deadlines

• Carry out performance reviews and annual appraisals, offering feedback and guidance to support team members' growth

• Supervise the bookkeeping function, offering technical direction and ensuring all activities are completed accurately and on time

• Serve as the main contact for clients, intermediaries and professional advisers on accounting issues, ranging from everyday queries to technical matters

• Take part in meetings with clients and prospects, contributing to relationship management and business development efforts

• Guide, mentor and oversee team members, fostering a collaborative, high-performing and client-focused culture while promoting continuous learning and development

Education, Skills & Experience

• ACA, ACCA qualified or relevant

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role in Malta

• Experience within a client accounting environment is a plus

• Fluency in English both written and spoken

• Problem solver with excellent communication and organisational skills

• Proactive approach to client needs, particularly around new technical developments

• Proven team leadership experience - non-negotiable

• Strong research and analytical skills to resolve technical matters using available resources

• A self-driven commitment to staying current with international accounting standards and filing deadlines across relevant jurisdictions

• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines with moderate supervision
