Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Description:

ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS:

• Tests and repairs malfunctioning production equipment/machinery and notifies appropriatepersonnel
• Install equipment, machines, or programs to meetspecifications
• Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determine what maintenance isneeded
• Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, andmicrometers
• Assemble and install equipment using hand and powertools
• Uses welding skills/equipment (TIG, Stick, Torch) to fabricate and repair chutes, conveyors, hoppers, etc.
• Basic knowledge to use, Milling Machine, Brake press, Drill press, and general machine shop equipment to modify dies, reels, Metal parts.
• Repair machinery, mill, drill press, and other tools asrequired.
• Understand hydraulic principles, pneumatic principlesetc.
• Demonstrate high level of mechanical aptitude and must possess the knowledge of timing of cams and gears, how to set backlash, replace bushings.
• Maintains current knowledge and actively addresses safety and environmentalissues.
• Other duties may include: janitorial, plumbing, pipefitting, painting, security,carpentry.
• Perform other duties asassigned

MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree from a Technical Collegepreferred
• 3-5+ years maintenance experience; Apprenticeship or Journeyman experiencepreferred
• Ability to complete basic mathematicalcalculations
• Forklift Truck Experience
• Strong mechanicalaptitude
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to lift up to 50pounds
• Ability to complete routine PMdocuments
• Understanding and compliance with safety rules andregulations
• Ability to navigate CMMS software or other PMsoftware
• Strong verbal and written communicationskills
• Strong time management and prioritizationskills
• Internal drive and interest in personaldevelopment
