Authorization Coordinator I

The Authorization Coordinator Iis responsible for securing prior authorizations for patient services while ensuring compliance with payer rules and policies. This role involves collaborating with hospital departments, medical practice staff,providers and patients tofacilitate the authorization, retro-authorization, and peer-to-peer processutilizing payer portals and automation tools effectively. The AuthorizationCoordinatorImaintains up-to-date knowledge of insurance plans and regulations and is adept inidentifying patient insurance and benefits to streamline the authorization workflow.  

Hybrid Work Schedule

Required Weekend Rotation ( Sat and Sunday shift every 6 weeks)

Required Holiday Rotation (1 holiday per year)

Education 

• High school graduate or equivalent Required)  

Certification/Licensure 

• No specific certification or licensure requirements 

Experience 

• Oneyear of related experience(Required) 

• Pre Authorizations, Payer portals, insurance experience
